The Air Up There

He's looking at life from a new perspective! Time is going way too fast, and although he still enjoys playing under the mat on his back.....sitting up and looking around has become a new favorite. He likes to see what's going on - perhaps because his brother is constantly racing around or maybe he's just a little bit nosy! :)

I Need a Haircut

For one reason or another, a haircut appt has taken a backseat to other things going on. So, during bathtime, we had some fun with his long hair. And all I could think of was a silly childhood song....."I need a hair-air-air-air cut. I need a haircut. I really need a haircut!"

I have been trying to remind myself that things happen for a reason. Although a busy schedule often drives me crazy....we would not have had this awfully fun bathtime filled with lots of laughs!

Three Men in the Tub

This was completely your big brother's idea. But, I did have a hand in putting you in his lap. And, I can almost guarantee if this had been my idea, the oldest of you two would have never cooperated. ("This One" makes the third man in the tub!)

1st Quarter

Although I didn't get to post this on 5/3....the picture was taken on his 3 month birthday. Oh how time is flying by......

This "Old" House

Exactly one week ago, we closed on this house and handed over the keys to someone else with very mixed emotions. This will always be our first house, our landscaping pride, where I celebrated my 30th birthday, many Christmas mornings, the home that I brought both of my babies to, had my oldest monkey's first and second birthday......I could go on and on, but that would probably risk shedding more tears. I still remember the feeling I had when I walked through the door the very first time and just knew this had to be our home.

And, so just in time, they've made some great progress on This "New" House. We can focus our excitement and anticipation on moving into our new home. Which is exactly what I can wait for, to walk through the front door and for it to feel like HOME.

Ground Breaking

We had our own "ground breaking" ceremony last week.

And this week, here's the progress. A bit of the foundation has been dug out and we have gravel in the driveway! New house underway!!!

God Gave Us Rainbows

And little boys. What would we do without them?? Last night, there was some fun scribbling in the bathtub. Can't call it scribbing anymore.....it's drawing when you see this followed by the announcement "It's a rainbow!" And that it is - a beautiful rainbow by this little guy! His first actual picture captured on the bathtub wall. *Smile* *Tears*

What's Gonna Work? TEAMWORK!

Daddy made a special stop on the way home so that C could pick out a snow shovel. He's been asking all day to shovel snow. (What age does he start whining when asked to shovel snow?) He was thrilled with his yellow shovel and I hope I always remember this. As I leaned out the window, I could hear his little voice singing "What's Gonna Work? Teamwork! I'm helping Daddy!" My heart melted.

And he was doing a really good job! What a helper!!

Two Much Fun

December 8th is a Half Birthday at our house - Can't believe our little monkey is 2 1/2!! We had "two" much fun playing in the snow and followed up with hot chocolate and cookies.

As most of us take down the holiday decorations, I hope that the true spirit of Christmas will remain with our family and friends throughout the year, and always.

Baby New Year

I won't be able to call this little guy my baby much longer. But it's moments like these that I want to treasure forever. The finger on his nose and the way he rubs "This One's" fur.....all snuggled up on the couch for a relaxing New Year's Day.
